Hannah Wigglesworth is an actor, singer, and mover, originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba. She graduated from the University of Alberta in 2021 with a BFA in acting. Hannah recently spent two years at the Stratford Festival as part of the Birmingham Conservatory. Her Stratford credits include Queen Isabel in Richard II, Jaquenetta in Love's Labour's Lost, Princess Elizabeth in Richard III, and ensemble in The Miser. While in the Conservatory, Hannah had the opportunity to be directed by Jonathan Goad in a production of Agamemnon. She also played the role of Natasha in Three Sisters, directed by Allen MacInnis, and composed and performed her own music as the Nightingale in The Birds directed and adapted by Yvette Nolan. Other Selected theatre credits include, Jo in Little Women (Opera Nuova), Adriana in The Comedy of Errors (Theatre Calgary), Vasilisa in Baba Yaga (AMTC), Carolyn in The Bridges of Madison County (Dry Cold Productions), South Pacific (Rainbow Stage), Rebecca in The Seduction Theory (Sarasvati Productions). Hannah is currently in the process of producing The Maids, by Jean Genet which will take place in Edmonton this fall. She received grant funding from the Canada Council for the Arts as well as the Edmonton Arts Council for this production, in which she will play the role of Solange. She was the 2022 recipient of the Stratford Festival’s John Hirsch Guthrie Award. Hannah is represented by Michael Marino at Noble Caplan Abrahams talent agency.
